4376 The Payload is Served
In this allegorical depiction, Neo and Morpheus, the ultimate symbols of cybernetic rebellion, are reduced to servants at the royal banquet of the foreign minister and the prime minister. While news of alleged cyber-attacks and serious intimidation of the institutions keeps circulating, the official narrative hands us the image of a foreign minister who supposedly responded to personal threats with strength and courage, qualities we are evidently used to admiring in him.

But all things considered, I am not convinced. Lies have become so systematic here that people get used even to the gravest ones.

The sequence of events suggests a different reading to me: a propaganda maneuver orchestrated to instill fear and disorder. A well-tested strategy in which the perception of danger serves to gather immediate consensus around whoever feels the need for protection. Personally, I think the cyber alarm is not a threat suffered but a course prepared and served at the table, to divert attention from real problems and rally the electorate once again.
